Compost

I have been trying to make compost on our balcony with varying degrees of success for the last 5 years. The first time was the worst as it all got full of maggots and had to throw it away. I think I’ve finally got a good method. Also found a use for empty Pringles boxes, they are really good for keeping bits of vegetable and fruit in before putting it in the compost bin.

Dan & goya

These are some goya we grew on our balcony. I love it and I think I have passed my passion on to Dan despite it being so bitter. I cut some up and mixed it with salt for a bit to make it less bitter, rinsed it and told Dan it was called “goya-snack”. He loves it and even asked me to make him some more yesterday.
